Dimethicone has excellent heat resistance, oxidation resistance and low temperature resistance. It can be used for a long time in the temperature range of -50 to 220 °C. It has strong shear resistance and is 20 times higher compressibility than general mineral oil. It is an ideal liquid spring; low temperature viscosity coefficient, low vapor pressure, low surface tension, good water absorption and lubricity; excellent electrical characteristics, high breakdown voltage, arc resistance, corona resistance, and dielectric loss; It also has the advantages of good light transmission and no toxic effect on the human body.

The excellent properties of dimethicone have made it widely used in industrial and agricultural production, national defense, scientific research and medical and health sectors, mainly for electrical insulation, demoulding, defoaming, damping, shockproof, hydraulic, dustproof and waterproof. 1. Widely used as insulation medium for temperature, arc resistance, corona resistance, corrosion resistance, moisture resistance and dust resistance on motors, electrical appliances and electronic instruments. It is also used as a transformer and capacitor oil to reduce the size of the transformer, increase the power, improve safety and pollution.
2. Used as anti-shock damping oil. Widely used in instrumentation, buffer dampers, shock absorbers, torsional vibration shock absorbers in automotive internal combustion engines, circuit breakers for overload relays, buffer fluids in circuit breakers, shock absorption in automotive, aircraft ammeters, speedometers, etc. oil. This product is used as a liquid spring. It has small volume and light weight. It can withstand a large impact force in a wide temperature range and can be used as a vibration absorber for aircraft or missile landing gear.
3. As a release agent. Widely used in plastic molding, rubber processing, metal casting, paper making, glass products, fiber, food, etc., with strong mold release, high surface precision, low dosage, multiple times of brushing, safe, clean, tasteless , non-toxic and other advantages. Generally, a solution or emulsion of the product having a concentration of 0.5 to 2.5% is used, and the surface of the mold can be used after being heat-treated at a temperature slightly higher than the molding processing temperature.
4. As a defoamer. It is the most widely used defoamer, with strong defoaming power, high temperature resistance and non-volatilization. High chemical stability, non-toxic, safe, widely used in petroleum, chemical, printing and dyeing, coatings, pharmaceuticals, leather, fermentation, food and so on. As long as the addition of 10-100 PPM of this product has a good defoaming effect.
5. As a lubricant. It is suitable for lubrication of rubber, plastic bearings, gear lubricants and mechanical and precision instruments under high and low temperature conditions. This product with special additives can also be used as a wear-resistant and extreme pressure lubricant.
6. As a surface treatment agent. Applying about 10% of this product solution or emulsion to glass, ceramic, metal surface, and then heat treatment at 150 ~ 300 °C can form a semi-permanent waterproof, mildewproof and insulating film. It can also be used for waterproofing paper, leather, building materials and fabrics.
7. As an additive. Adding a small amount of this product to materials such as paints, rubber, paraffin and resin can significantly improve the water resistance, brightness, oxidation resistance and processability of these materials. For example, adding a small amount of this product to the paint can make the paint not float. Color, no wrinkles, improve the brightness of the paint film.
8. Application in medical and health: The defoaming property of this product can be used as a medicament for treating pulmonary edema, bulging and artificial heart-lung machine defoaming agent. The ointment and protective agent prepared by using the product as a base can improve the penetration of the drug on the skin, and have good curative effect on scald, dermatitis and hemorrhoids. The surface treated by the product has anticoagulant effect and can be prolonged. The storage time of the blood sample, the lozenge prepared by adding the product has moisture resistance and prolongs the efficacy.
9. Other uses: This product can also be used as high temperature bath and heat carrier, heat exchange system for precision instrumentation, anti-printing agent for dry copying machine and manufacture of various polishes. Treating the spinning head with this product can eliminate static electricity and improve the quality of spinning. Adding this product to cosmetics can improve skin care and moisturizing effect.
V. Packaging, storage and transportation:
1. Dimethicone should be stored in a clean, sealed, lead-free or tin-free container to avoid contact with acids, bases and other impurities. Do not touch open flames.
2. Dimethicone is stored and transported in accordance with non-dangerous goods.
3. Under the conditions of 1 package and storage, the dimethyl silicone oil shall be stored for a period of three years from the date of production. If the product exceeds the storage period, it may be re-inspected and can still be used after passing the test.
4. Dimethyl silicone oil is packed in 950 kg stainless steel drum, or 200 kg iron plastic drum or 50 kg, 25 kg plastic drum.
